Have you ever had the chance to see a shooting star?
Last weekend I finally did and it was more beautiful than words can describe. I was listening to some old forgotten song, daydreaming about something important as we traveled down the road when a bright light caught my eye. It was so bright and so close, for I moment I felt that something truly magical was going on. I know that sounds silly! But if you saw it, I think you would have thought the same thing. Now I really know why people wish upon shooting stars–they look like Fairy Godmothers coming to grant you a wish or an angel showing you a peek of Heaven’s glory! However, that night was so odd that I still have some vague feeling something magical did happen. It was a full moon and the sky was divided in half. I have never seen anything so magnificent before. Half the sky was tightly packed with pale clouds and the other half was clear as water with the moon shining down. As soon as I saw the light, I tried to tell the people who were with me but I became a stammering fool! However, they did glimpse it and were in awe as well. It was sparkling but so much more than a firework would have. Halfway through it’s path, it offered one final bright light before fizzling out into nothing.
It actually looked a lot like the meteor that happen about two years ago except smaller and at night! Imagine this but a shorter, sparkling tail.
I know that shooting stars are rare but I do hope you get glimpse one day! I’ll be sharing a nerd post later about this week’s meteor show and the one coming at the end of May so you’ll be able to see one, too!
P.S: This is my new favorite song! I hope you enjoy it!!
